A Facebook Group for Dinner Table Don'ts
All subscribers, paid and free, will have access to the group, which will encourage conversation and discussion on matters of interest to readers
One of the key reasons why I love Facebook is because I have heard from many, many people how appreciative they are of the variety of things that I post, whether it's music, longform articles, philosophical musings, or political opinions. And I LOVE to share the stuff that I read - one of the things I miss most about my FB break is sharing stuff with my friends and family. That said, the time has come to shift those posts almost entirely to this Substack. If you haven't yet subscribed, now is the time.
In order to support this work, I have created a Facebook group where I will post all future material, including new Substack posts; I welcome discussion, debate, and conversation in that group, whether about pieces I write or post, or some other topic of interest to readers. All subscribers, paid and free, will have access to this group - over the coming days I will be inviting as many current subscribers as I know to join the group. If that's you, you feel free to send a note to pfthurley@gmail.com and let me know that you want in!
If you have already subscribed to Dinner Table Don'ts, THANK YOU. If you are supporting my writing through a small donation, I am extremely grateful. If you want to contribute, I would be eternally grateful.
While my primary Facebook account will remain active, I will be shifting my day-to-day FB use to Pete Franklin, an account with few friends. This will allow me to keep myself a bit more regulated, while giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts, perspectives and opinions through curation and writing at Dinner Table Don'ts.
Please join me!
My eternal gratitude is yours,
Peter Thurley
