I don't talk about this much, because it's kinda embarrassing, but I have something called Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs). It's an umbrella term that encompasses a whole host of often compulsive actions that ultimately cause damage to one's physical self. One of the most well-known behaviours that fall into this category is nail-biting, but there are a host of other behaviours that are often more damaging than that. While I exhibit a variety of these kinds of behaviours, including nail biting, the last few years have seen me develop something more serious called Excoriation Disorder.
